2008
Vacation in Southern France - Cote D'Azur (June 23-28, 2008)
What better excuse to visit the south of France than for our good friends' Celine and Regis' wedding! We enjoyed a great week at Lou N'aouc, a chateau in the hilltown of Grasse with the rest of the wedding party and even managed to get out and enjoy the 'good life' at Cannes, St. Tropez, and Nice.
Vacation in Southern France - Provence (June 29-July 5, 2008)
The second half of our big french vacation was spent along the countryside of Provence, where we rented a beautful villa in the town of Vernegues. We were joined by our friends Cathy and Nozomi (and their daughters Hala and Mia!) Days were spent eating, touring Provence, swimming in the pool, and the highlight was a 5-course meal prepared by Chef Ronald (Thank Nozomi!).
Weekend in Santa Barbara - February 2008
A few weeks after Mira was born, we realized having 2 small kids was no easy task. What better way to relax than to spend a weekend with our friends Emilie, Sameer, and Ravi in Santa Barbara.
2006
Our Hawaii Vacation - Maui (January 13-17, 2006)
We started off 2006 with a great vacation to Hawaii. Our first stop was Maui, where we went on the road to Hana, visited the beautiful Io Valley, and of course spent a lot of time by the pool and the beach.
Our Hawaii Vacation - Kauai (January 17-21, 2006)
After Maui, we flew to Kauai, the garden isle. At Kauai, we went on several hikes, attended a luau, and visited the Hindu Temple!
2005
New Years 2006 – Chi-town (December 30-Jan 1, 2006)
Back to Chicago for yet another New Year’s celebration – highlighted by dinners at Opera and Del Toro, a visit to the Art Institute, a show at Second City, the Pompeii exhibit at the Field Museum, and of course, our New Year’s Eve party at the Marriott hotel!
1 Year Wedding Anniversary – San Francisco (October 8, 2005)
Where else could we go on our 1 year anniversary than back to the city and hotel where we initially got engaged? We celebrated two great dinners with Scott and Maggie and Schofield and Emily – and then got to join in our nephew Sidart’s 10th birthday!
Labor Day Weekend in Santa Barbara
This was perhaps our favorite weekend of 2005! What began as a relaxing vacation became a celebration – as we had just found out that we were having a baby. .we stayed at the beautiful resort Bacara (which we highly recommend), relaxed by the pool, watched a wedding, and dined at Miro. In between, we still had a chance to eat at the famous “Super Rica” in downtown Santa Monica and visit the historic Mission Santa Barbara. .
2004
After our wedding celebration from October 7-9th, we took off to Asia with our parents(!) for our honeymoon and went on a 3-week journey through Singapore, India, and the Maldives. Our experiences ranged from having high tea at the beautiful Raffles Hotel in Singapore, riding on camels over the dunes of Jodhpur, visiting the incredible Taj Mahal, and scuba diving in the Indian Ocean!
